HinUng is a Reykjavik social group for LGBTQ+ young adults aged 18–25, founded in 2017 . It functions like a community youth center, holding biweekly meetups (every other Saturday 17:00–19:00) where members do fun activities together. The group provides a safe, welcoming space for queer youth to socialize and support each other .
Styrmir Football League
The Styrmir Football League is a queer-friendly soccer team in Reykjavík organized by Styrmir Sports Club. The team meets at least once a week and emphasizes a fun, positive competitive environment for all participants . It was founded to be an open, welcoming club for LGBTQ+ players and allies .
Styrmir Running Group
Styrmir Sports Club, a queer-friendly sports organization operating since 2006 , offers the Styrmir Running Group. Styrmir Swimming Club
Known as Reykjavik’s gay swim club, the Styrmir Swimming Club is part of Styrmir Sports Club . It organizes year-round swim practices at local geothermal pools (e.g. Laugardalslaug, Sundhöllin) and the Reykjavík Swimming Center . The club is described as a small, diverse team that socializes together in hot tubs after laps .
