Halifax's LGBTQ+ community is centered in downtown Halifax, particularly along Gottingen Street and in the North End. Popular venues include Menz & Mollyz, Reflections Cabaret, and The Company House. Halifax Pride is a major celebration, and the city hosts various queer events and cultural festivals. Halifax's maritime culture and university population create a unique queer community that embraces both traditional and progressive values.
