The BGS badminton league began in 1994 and has grown from a handful of players to over a hundred. It welcomes all ability levels as a recreational activity. BGS badminton players also participate in numerous international LGBT tournaments (including Gay Games and EuroGames), where the club has won many prizes .
Cycling: Casual Cycling Club
Created in 2021, the Casual Cycling Club welcomes women, trans, and non-binary riders of all levels to ride together and discover Brussels and its surroundings . It has grown into a community of over 500 cyclists.
Hockey: Zinneke Sticks
Zinneke Sticks is an LGBTQ+-friendly hockey team newly created in March 2023 in Brussels . The team is open to players of all backgrounds and skill levels, aiming to create an environment where everyone can play hockey while being themselves.
Rugby: Straffe Ketten RFC
Straffe Ketten RFC is Belgium’s first and only fully inclusive rugby club, founded in 2010 . A proud member of International Gay Rugby, it competes in matches and tournaments in Belgium and abroad, and promotes an environment where all players can play rugby in a safe, fun, and inclusive setting.
