El Festival de Cortometrajes Helena Cortesina busca visibilizar y reivindicar el papel de la mujer en el cine. La edición 2026 se celebra del 21 al 23 de septiembre en Alicante, con proyecciones de veinte cortos seleccionados entre 276 presentados, en sesiones en el Auditorio Puerta Ferrisa y el Teatre Arniches. La programación incluye cortometrajes de diversos autores, una masterclass sobre la mujer en el cine español, y una ceremonia de clausura con entrega de premios y homenaje a Helena Cortesina, pionera en el cine español.
