Join us for a lunchtime event at Unity Books Wellington to hear author Lauren Keenan discuss her new book, 'The Other Catherine.' The novel explores the story of 18-year-old Catherine in 1793, transported on the convict ship Tempest to New South Wales, and her experiences of storms, brutality, and dreams of freedom. It also follows Māori matriarch Keita in Aotearoa a century later, unraveling stories of survival, whakapapa, and female friendship across seas and generations. The event is scheduled for Thursday, 23rd April 2026, at 12:30 PM at Unity Books Wellington, 57 Willis Street.
