March 31st is Transgender Day Of Visibility. Here are some actions that non-trans folks and allies can take to help create equity for everyone in our community: When introducing yourself, include your pronouns! Including pronouns in email signatures & social media bios is also great. When someone tells you their pronouns, use them! If you make a mistake, apologize, correct yourself, and move on. Learn more about incredible organizations assisting trans, transgender, non-binary, or gender-diverse folks. Educate yourself on anti-trans legislation and harmful policies that directly impact the trans community. As an ally, be sure to “pass the mic” to transgender folks and elevate their voices in any way you can. Visibility is just the start, there’s work to be done.
