QUEEN - Voices from the Margins Sing Their Power

About this event

A concert presented by Ensemble Laude celebrating the power of voices from marginalized groups. The event features performances highlighting stories of individuals who have overcome adversity, including female mathematicians involved in the Apollo moon landing, maidens outwitting pirates, and cowboys secretly fond of each other. Special guest drag king Sylvester Stalletto will also perform. The concert lasts approximately 2 hours, is held in person at Sooke Community Hall, and begins at 2:30 PM on May 23, 2026.
