We Are Pat

We Are Pat is a documentary directed by Rowan Haber that explores the legacy of the 90s sketch comedy character Pat from Saturday Night Live. The film revisits the character's impact on gender representation in media and comedy, featuring a cast of trans and nonbinary comedians who reinterpret the original sketches, aiming to reclaim Pat as a symbol of radical trans joy. The screening will take place in person at the International Village as part of the Vancouver Queer Film Festival 2025.
