UNTOLD Stories: Black Queer Open Mic

About this event

UNTOLD Stories is an intimate, living room style open mic created by and for Black members of the queer and trans community. This is a space to share, witness, and listen to each other’s stories within a community that sees us and wants to listen. Bring any medium or form of expression. Whether you’re sharing for the first time or returning, this space is about presence, care, and truth. There will be refreshments and some instruments provided. Harm reduction supplies will also be available. This space is exclusive to black community members. You can share: Personal or family stories, Poetry or prose, Fiction or non-fiction, Song or instrumental pieces, Visual art (and speaking about it), Journal entries, Dance, improv, performance art, Comedy set, Or anything else! Instruments will be available | DJ set by Nsaa_spins | Refreshments provided | Good company, deep listening. You are welcome to come to share or simply to listen. Come as you are.
