Gays and Games: A Social Night for 2SGBTQ+ Men

A social evening for 2SGBTQ+ men with snacks, games, and opportunities to make new friends.

Centering Hanlan’s Point Beach’s history and queer ecology, The Wild and the Weeds proposes alternative ways of looking at and engaging with this queer site. The exhibition explores ecological consideration, co-creation, and kinship, forging pathways for understanding queer past and imagining queer future. Featuring artists Morris Fox, Morgan Sears-Williams, and Patrick Stochmal, alongside material from The ArQuives’ collection, Hanlan’s Point Beach is positioned as more than the site of the 1971 Gay Day Picnic, addressing contemporary concerns of the queer community regarding gentrification and public space. Engaging with topics of public/private, cruising, decay, and the erosion of the beach, the artists provide a context through which we can view ecological entanglements with queer memory and identity.

The film 'Drunken Noodles' follows an art student through space and time in a collection of intimate encounters, ranging from the mundane to the magical. Set across two summers in Brooklyn, the story explores memory and past lovers through the protagonist Andan’s journey. The film is a Toronto premiere, directed by Lucio Castro, with a runtime of 1 hour and 21 minutes, in English and Spanish. It contains scenes with graphic sexual content.

Join us for Summer Social Tennis at Thorncliffe Park Tennis Club every Friday night from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM during the summer. This social doubles event features partner switching every half hour, with partners arranged by the coordinator. The event takes place at Thorncliffe Park Tennis Club, located at 15 Leaside Park Drive, Toronto. Registration is $15 for TLGTA members, with registration closing on the day of the event. Parking is free, and public transit options are available. In case of rain, credits will be issued for canceled sessions.
