Toronto boasts one of the largest and most vibrant LGBTQ+ communities in North America. The Church-Wellesley Village serves as the heart of the gay community, featuring iconic venues like Woody's, Crews & Tangos, and The Black Eagle. The city hosts Pride Toronto, one of the largest Pride celebrations globally, and is known for its inclusive atmosphere, diverse queer culture, and strong LGBTQ+ rights advocacy.

UNTOLD Stories is an intimate, living room style open mic created by and for Black members of the queer and trans community. This is a space to share, witness, and listen to each other’s stories within a community that sees us and wants to listen. Bring any medium or form of expression. Whether you’re sharing for the first time or returning, this space is about presence, care, and truth. There will be refreshments and some instruments provided. Harm reduction supplies will also be available. This space is exclusive to black community members. You can share: Personal or family stories, Poetry or prose, Fiction or non-fiction, Song or instrumental pieces, Visual art (and speaking about it), Journal entries, Dance, improv, performance art, Comedy set, Or anything else! Instruments will be available | DJ set by Nsaa_spins | Refreshments provided | Good company, deep listening. You are welcome to come to share or simply to listen. Come as you are.

UNTOLD Stories: Black Queer Open Mic

A Black Queer open mic night where community members can share and listen to personal stories, poetry, art, and performances in an intimate, supportive setting.

Monthly discussions on housing rights, basics of tenant organizing, direct actions and community building. These sessions are for tenants only, not landlords. This month, we’ll meet to discuss deputations. A deputation is a formal presentation made by tenants to a municipal government council, board of directors, or committee, bringing forward complaints, solutions, information, and advocacy.

Housing Rights and Tenant Organizing

A community event where tenants discuss their housing rights, organize for action, and learn how to present their concerns to local government.

The practice includes a short meditation, optional breath work, and gentle physical yoga postures. Mat and cleaning supplies available, TTC tickets upon request, light snacks provided, dress comfortably.

Online discussion about Aro Visibility & Awareness in honour of Aro Awareness Week. Discussion questions include: What are Aro Visibility & Awareness? Where are we at with it in society? (and for whom?) What would we like to change? Videos optional, chat option available, mid-session break, and ability to exit and re-enter as needed. A live music event featuring jazz, world, and folk fusion performances.

A weekly 'anything goes' dance and play event called Forbidden takes place on Wednesdays at The Zone, 508 Church St, Toronto. The event runs from 21:00 on February 25, 2026, to 02:30 on February 26, 2026. Attendees can wear what they want, do what they want with consent, and enjoy sexy beats music. Entry costs $12 cash at the door, or attendees can purchase a Forbidden All-Access Pass for $99 online, granting access to all Wednesdays for the year, or a Pink Card for unlimited events in 2026. The venue offers drink specials, including $5 fireball shots, $8 Cottage Springs, and $8 Heineken. The event is for individuals aged 19 and over, with no food available, and no photos or videos allowed.
