About
Woody's is a landmark gay bar in Toronto's Church-Wellesley Village, open since 1989 and one of the longest-running LGBTQ+ venues in the city. Connected internally to the adjacent Sailor Bar, the sprawling complex features multiple bars, nightly DJs, popular drag shows, and weekly men's competition nights (Best Chest, Best Ass). The bar gained international recognition as a filming location for the US version of Queer as Folk and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the AIDS Committee of Toronto and other queer organizations.
