About
Buddies in Bad Times Theatre is North America's oldest and largest queer theatre, located at 12 Alexander Street in Toronto's Church-Wellesley Village. Founded in 1979, it produces boundary-pushing queer and trans theatre, performance art, and dance, with a strong mandate to support emerging artists from marginalized communities. The space also hosts a popular late-night bar and club on weekends, with recurring events like Metamorphosis and other dance parties that make it a nightlife destination as well.
