About this event
A global moment of solidarity and collective action for LGBTQ+ communities. Observed every year on 17 May, it brings together individuals, organisations, and governments from around the world to raise awareness of the issues facing LGBTQ+ people and to advocate for the laws and policies needed to protect our rights. The theme for 2026 is "At the heart of democracy".
