A screening of the classic lesbian romantic drama 'Desert Hearts', directed by Donna Deitch. The film, based on Jane Rule's 1964 novel, follows Vivian Bell, a New York professor who moves to Reno for a quick divorce and forms a deep friendship with sculptor Cay Rivvers. The event celebrates the film's 40th anniversary and features a discussion with director Donna Deitch.
