The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus announces its Fifth Annual Holiday Composition Competition, inviting composers from across the United States to submit original works. The competition offers a $2,000 cash prize, travel expenses for the world premiere in San Francisco, and a professional recording of the performance. Entries must be for TTBB voicing, up to 5 minutes long, with seasonal and secular text, composed within the last two years. The application deadline is August 14, 2026, with submissions accepted via an online form. The winning piece will be premiered in early December 2025 at venues in San Francisco, Berkeley, and Sonoma.
