'Ni Mi Madre' is a riotous, Obie Award-winning one-person show written and performed by Arturo Luíz Soria. The performance follows an over-the-top Brazilian matriarch as she navigates raising her queer son within a confusing American culture. Infused with the music of Gloria Estefan and Cher, the show explores the secrets of an immigrant family and the complex love between parent and child. It celebrates queer Latine survival and identity through humor, sharpness, and humanity. The show runs from August 13 to September 6, 2026, with special nights including low-cost previews, an opening night on August 22, and various pre-show events and industry nights.
