The San Diego LGBT Community Center was proud to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Diversionary Theatre, a true cornerstone of LGBTQ+ arts, culture, and community in San Diego. It was a spectacular evening, with community leaders, advocates, and changemakers all in the room. We were honored to celebrate trailblazers like Toni Atkins and incredible philanthropists Allison Rossett and Sue Reynolds. A special moment for us: our CEO, Cara Dessert, took the stage to present the award to Sue and Allison, a powerful reminder of the deep partnership and shared mission between our organizations. For 40 years, Diversionary Theatre has been a lifeline to joy, healing, and connection. Here’s to the next 40 years of bold storytelling, belonging, and community.
