Queer Sports Leagues in Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta LGBTQ+ Game Night Group is a social club for LGBT+ people and allies who love playing board and party games. They meet weekly at a private home in PV to play games ranging from JackBox and Cards Against Humanity to strategy games like Catan and 7 Wonders .

Puerto Vallarta Walking Adventures & Tours is a gay-owned tour company offering guided walking and hiking adventures in the Puerto Vallarta area. Their tours (3–7 hours) emphasize culturally immersive walking and light exercise, taking participants beyond typical tourist hotspots .

As part of Vallarta Pride, there is an LGBTQ+-inclusive calisthenics (bodyweight fitness) competition. For instance, on May 24, 2025, the Pride Calisthenics Tournament was held at the Municipal Stadium (Unidad Deportiva Agustín Flores Contreras) featuring strength competitions in a safe, inclusive environment .

Corre con Orgullo (Run with Pride) is an inclusive road race in Puerto Vallarta organized by the local LGBTQ+ community. Its first edition was held on June 29, 2024 as a 2.5K and 5K event with multiple age divisions, promoting greater inclusion and respect for LGBT+ athletes .

The Rainbow Race is an annual Pride-themed running event in Puerto Vallarta. The second edition took place on November 10, 2024, inviting the LGBT+ community and allies to run, jog or walk together. The event is held to support diversity and in collaboration with local LGBT organizations .

In 2016 LGBT athletes in Puerto Vallarta founded the Puntis Puerto Vallarta Gay Sports Club (a soccer team) to promote diversity in sports . Called "Puntis", the team consists entirely of LGBT players and has since won several championships in regional and national tournaments .

Vallarta Pride holds a beach volleyball tournament each year during Pride festivities in Puerto Vallarta. For example, the 2025 quarterfinals (May 23) and finals (May 24) were hosted at Los Muertos Beach (Playa Daiquiri) as part of the Pride event lineup .
