About this event
In association with nyclgbtsites and the legendary juliusbarnyc, Loafers is taking part in a nationwide activation to honor the 60th Anniversary of the Sip-In, the first staged, real-time action calling attention to police entrapment and surveillance at LGBTQ bars. This history-making event took place at juliusbarnyc in NYC, on April 21, 1966. The party continues with joyridekiki from 7 PM with the iconic charleneincarnate. Come celebrate LGBTQ history and activism as we connect to the NYC anchor event at Julius’ bar via Instagram Live. We hope you can join us as we honor our queer past and also draw focus to our own queer Brooklyn history as showcased in photos throughout the bar.
