About this event
Join World Poetry at the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division for a reading featuring acclaimed Brazilian poet Ricardo Domeneck and his translator Chris Daniels, along with Chris Nealon and James Loop. This event celebrates the publication of 'First Epistle to the Amphibians,' the first volume of Domeneck’s work to appear in English. The poet explores themes of artifice, rage, tenderness, and corporeal lyricism within contemporary Brazilian experimental poetry. The event will be hosted by publisher Peter Constantine and will take place in person at the Bureau, located at 208 W. 13th St., NYC, on April 24, 2026, from 19:00 to 20:30. Seating is first come, first served, and registration is not required.
