Refuge America invites you to celebrate NYC Immigrant Heritage Week 2026 with an event at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center. The event features a tour of the exhibition, a jukebox experience with music symbolizing courage and change, and food by Eat Offbeat. Guest speaker Henry Trieu, a former refugee from Vietnam and successful restaurateur, will share his story. Special guest of honor is Assembly Member Tony Simone. The gathering honors the diverse identities shaping New York City, focusing on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ newcomers, including discussions on legal barriers, family networks, faith, housing, and creative resistance.
