League information

Korbschlampen is Team München’s basketball team, active for over 20 years. The team prioritizes fun and inclusivity, welcoming players of all skill levels, genders, and orientations (gay, straight, young, old). They participate in European LGBTQ+ basketball tournaments, having won medals at events like the Eurogames (gold in Berlin 2010). Regular practice takes place in Munich.

InsideOut Munich e.V.

InsideOut Munich e.V., founded in 1997 as a tennis club for gay and lesbian players, is now open to the entire LGBT+ community. With around 70 members, it offers weekly tennis training (outdoor April–October, indoor winter) and competes in the Bavarian league. The club regularly takes part in GLTA international gay and lesbian tennis tournaments and hosts the annual “König Ludwig Cup” with over 100 participants.

Isarhechte (Munich Swimming Team)

Isarhechte is Munich’s gay, lesbian, and friends swimming team, founded in 1997. It has about 220 members and welcomes swimmers of all abilities (from recreational to former competitors). The team competes in both LGBTQ+ and mainstream swim competitions, and organizes social events such as training camps, summer parties, and open-water swims. Its focus is a supportive, discrimination-free environment for the LGBTQ+ community.

Team München (Badminton)

The badminton section of Team München offers weekly training and play for members of Bavaria’s largest queer sports club (over 1,000 members). The group provides multiple weekly sessions (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) for players of all levels and focuses on building community among LGBT+ athletes.

Team München (Football)

Team München’s football section (the Streetboys) was founded in 1994 and is Germany’s first official queer soccer team. The team trains twice weekly and competes in the Bavarian C-Klasse league. It also regularly participates in national and international LGBTQ+ football tournaments, with an emphasis on creating a welcoming environment for all genders and orientations.
