About this event
Join The Nomads Outdoors Group Inc. for a 12.7 km moderate walk along the O'Keefe Rail Trail from Knowsley State Forest to Lake Eppalock. The event starts at 10:00 and concludes around 16:00 on July 26, 2026. Participants will meet at the O'Keefe Rail Trail car park and carpool to the trailhead. The walk includes forest and farmland scenery, a lunch stop at Knowsley, and a visit to Lake Eppalock, weather permitting. After the walk, refreshments will be available at the Commercial Hotel Heathcote or Gaffney's Bakery. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring snacks, lunch, and 2 liters of water. The event is suitable for grade 3 walkers and is mostly flat on gravel trail. Registration is required by July 24, 2026.
