About this event

An evening of Queer poetry presented by Voiced, the UK's first creative festival for endangered languages. The event features performances of Polari, a hidden language of Queer experience, with Jez Dolan. Rosie Garland will perform poems from her Polari Prize-shortlisted collection 'What Girls Do in the Dark' and her recent book 'This Is How I Fight'. Additionally, poet afshan d'souza-lodhi explores Queer language through her mother tongue, Konkani, a minority and national language in India. The event explores intersections of Queer languages, poetry, and performance.
