Our Rockets brought home the LA Muni 11s championship today in an action packed battle that tested our squad for the full 90 minutes!! We came out hard from the starting whistle! High pressure, quick passing and a laser focus on goal, put the Rockets ahead at 10 mins in when koczoo played a ball in behind and melizrd blazed past the defense, slotting it perfectly into the far post. Rockets spent the next 80 mins defending the lead; shutting down through balls, crosses and breakaways; locked in, playing hard and always together. Big shout out to our backline (malchick_art mikayla_byers millrlite amandamickwee ashlaughs samiod_) and keeper Rachel Derrico for fighting for the shutout and to the entire squad for the nonstop effort and support from end to end!! And big thanks and lots of love for our teammate julie_griesemer running subs today and all season, making things run seamlessly.
