Point Dume to Paradise Cove Café Coastal Hike

Join us for a scenic coastal hike starting at Westward Beach, crossing Point Dume, descending approximately 200 stairs to the sand, and heading towards Paradise Cove Beach Café for lunch. The hike offers breathtaking views along sea cliffs, opportunities to spot whales, dolphins, and sea lions, and a chance to explore tide pools (please do not touch the animals). The route includes beach walking on sand and rocks, with a moderate difficulty level due to lengthy stairs and uneven terrain. The total distance is approximately 5 miles, and participants should bring water, snacks, beach-appropriate shoes, sun protection, and binoculars. The event is scheduled for March 28, 2026, starting at 11:00 AM, with wrap-up around 2-3 PM. Meet at the Westward Beach Parking Lot, with directions provided. The event is organized by California Great Outdoors, Inc., and led by Russell Hammerl.
