Join the Great Outdoors Orange County/Long Beach for a scenic moderate day hike in El Moro Canyon near Crystal Cove Park, Newport Beach, CA, on Sunday, August 16, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM. The hike covers approximately 9 miles with elevation changes between 35 and 1800 feet, beginning promptly at 8:00 AM from the trailhead adjacent to the Lower Parking Lot in the Day Use Area. Participants are advised to wear sturdy hiking boots, long pants, bring snacks, sun protection, and at least two liters of water. After the hike, optional ocean swimming is available. The day use parking fee is $15, and carpooling is recommended.
