A 7-mile moderate to strenuous high desert hike starting at the Wildlands Conservancy Ranger Station in Pipes Canyon, Pioneertown, CA. The route includes diverse scenery such as cottonwood groves, streams, Joshua trees, stone ruins, volcanic rocks, and panoramic views. The hike begins at 7:30 AM on April 16, 2026, with a meeting point at Carl's Jr. Racquet Club and Palm Canyon Drive. Participants are advised to bring essentials like water, layered clothing, sun protection, and sturdy footwear. An optional lunch at Papi and Harriets follows the hike. The event is organized by California Great Outdoors, Inc., a volunteer LGBTQA+ organization.
