Girl, Interrupted Musical Adaptation

King Princess is set to take to the stage for the first time in a musical adaptation of Girl, Interrupted. The upcoming Off Broadway production will run at Martinson Hall. Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Martyna Majok has written the book for the play, with music woven throughout, adapting Susanna Kaysen’s memoir of the same name. Grammy winner Aimee Mann will compose the music for the show, with Jo Bonney directing. The cast is stacked, with Stereophonics’ Juliana Canfield leading the show as Susanna, and musician and former Gay Times cover star King Princess making her theatre debut as Lisa, the role originally played by Angelina Jolie. Emily Skinner will play Dr Wick, with Ta'Rea Campbell as Valerie. Gabi Campo is set to play Tori, Mano Felciano appears as Man, Mia Pak as Grace, Katherine Reis as Daisy, Sally Shaw as Polly and Lauren Jeanne Thomas as Judy.
