About this event
Hakim is a resident DJ and operator at Seoul’s underground club RING, and has been a key figure in shaping its identity since the early days. Working in the club’s vinyl-only environment, his residency has sharpened an obsession with digging — letting records lead the narrative rather than genre labels. Raised in Seoul and shaped by years as a guitarist, Hakim brings a musician’s sensibility to the booth: attentive to tone, tension, and timing, with a natural feel for phrasing and release. His sets are defined by unexpected cuts and witty, seamless transitions that add a quiet but palpable heat to the floor—always nudging dancers toward the next scene. From dubby, hypnotic late-night grooves to melodic edges that catch the first light of morning, his instinctive selections go wherever the moment points.
