This online training session, scheduled for March 12, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00 via Microsoft Teams, aims to provide practical strategies for engaging with and supporting rainbow seniors in elderly services. Participants will learn how to address rainbow issues in conversations, understand workplace obligations, and explore how minority stress impacts the health and social relationships of rainbow seniors. The training will update social and health care professionals on topics such as the life history of rainbow seniors, their close relationships, and the specific challenges related to dementia in gender or sexual minority elderly individuals. The session features expert trainer Outi Tjurin, a social worker and sexual health counselor, with a duration of 1.5 hours plus 30 minutes for discussion. The participation fee is 25 euros.
