About this event
The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games is a major multi-sport event scheduled from 23 July to 2 August 2026 in Glasgow, Scotland. It will feature 74 participating nations and territories, with approximately 3,000 athletes competing in 215 medal events across 10 sports, including athletics, swimming, cycling, gymnastics, basketball, boxing, judo, netball, bowls, and weightlifting. The event will be hosted at venues such as Scotstoun Stadium, Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow International Arena, Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, and the Scottish Event Campus. The Games will include the traditional King’s Baton Relay traveling across Scotland from 1 to 23 July, showcasing Scottish culture and communities. Visitors can enjoy a variety of cultural, sporting, and leisure activities throughout Glasgow during the event period.
