A hands-on introduction to DIY animation, this three-part series explores animation techniques, tricks, and history with a focus on independent and experimental approaches. Over three weeks, participants will learn various animation styles, collage-based and hand-drawn techniques, and editing basics. The course is suitable for beginners and aims to encourage ongoing exploration. Sessions include principles of animated movement, morphs and transformations, transitions, loops, and basic editing, with each session followed by optional work time. The course runs on March 15, 22, and 29, 2026, at Glasgow Zine Library in Glasgow, UK.
