About this event

A workshop part of the Page by Page writing program at Petals & Pages, focusing on using slam poetry as a form of advocacy. Participants will learn to highlight marginalized communities' struggles, current political issues, and topics often avoided in conversation. The session includes reviewing works by poets who have used their platforms for advocacy and provides poets the opportunity to craft their own advocacy poems with guidance from the instructor.
