Join us for the monthly poetry slam competition hosted by Brooke (@bthe.poet) at Petals & Pages. The event aims to support marginalized voices through a competitive poetry showcase. The competition features three rounds with a $100 cash prize for the winner. Check-in and draw time is at 7:30 PM, with performances starting shortly after. Poets perform original works, each limited to 3 minutes with penalties for exceeding time. Audience-selected judges score performances on content, delivery, and impact. The event is in person, with tickets costing $10, and artists sign up at the door.
