OUT at CHM Bus Tour | South Side LGBTQIA+ Stories

This tour, led by Mike McMains of Tours with Mike, explores the rich LGBTQIA+ history of Chicago's South Side neighborhoods, including the South Loop and Bronzeville. Attendees will learn about significant sites such as the 'Mother of the Blues,' the 'Godfather of House Music,' historic drag ball scenes, pioneering Black women playwrights, former vice districts, and legendary locations shaping house music. The tour includes access to historical photographs and concludes with free admission to the Chicago History Museum. The event is scheduled for October 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to approximately 12:00 pm, meeting at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance.
