Celebrated on Saturday, April 25, 2026, Independent Bookstore Day is a nationwide event honoring independent bookstores. In Chicago, the celebration includes the Chicagoland Bookstore Crawl, where participants visit 10 or more bookstores across the area, collecting stamps and earning discounts of 10% or 15% at participating stores for the entire year. Women & Children First, located at 5233 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL, is one of the participating bookstores, offering special events and activities throughout the day.
