At Queer Calgary, we’re taking time to recognize and celebrate Two-Spirit and Indigenous queer folks, their identities, cultures, and the important roles they hold in their communities. Gender and sexual diversity have always been part of Indigenous cultures. Today is a chance to listen, learn, and uplift, while acknowledging the ongoing impacts of colonization. This time of year also marks the spring equinox. A point of balance and transition. As the seasons shift, it’s a reminder of renewal, growth, and the importance of staying connected to each other and the land. Join us in holding space for reflection, celebration, and solidarity today and every day
