Community Safety Forum

About this event

Join us for a Community Safety Forum to learn about community-led security initiatives and the work that Calgary Pride has been doing through the Policing of Pride Project. The Information & Resource Fair is open until 5pm, with tabling organizations including: Bison Clan, Street Cats YYC, The Alex, Alpha House, SafeLink Alberta, and Calgary Pride. Round-table sessions (available in-person and online) will run from 2-3pm and 3:30-4:30pm. Topics include: Accountability, Priorities & Moving Forward, Police, Safety & Harm – Holding the Tension, If Not Police, Then What?, and Empowering Communities. Mental health support will be accessible both in-person and online for participants.
