The Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in Burlington, Vermont, along the shores of Lake Champlain. The event is a community dragon boat festival supporting cancer survivors and local charities, including Dragonheart Vermont and the Cancer Patient Support Foundation. Racing divisions include Community Teams, Breast Cancer Paddler Teams, and Sport Teams. Races for Breast Cancer and Sport Teams begin at noon on Saturday, August 8th, with all teams racing the 200-meter course on Sunday, August 9th. Participants paddle in teams of 16 with a drummer, competing in short, synchronized races to raise funds and awareness.
