Bologna Quidditch A.S.D. (nicknamed the Hinkypunks) is the local quidditch team, a mixed-gender sport inspired by Harry Potter. Founded in 2014 , it emphasizes inclusivity: mixed teams allow all genders and sexual orientations to play together without restrictions . The club is part of the Italian Quidditch association and has hosted national events (it hosted the 2022 Italian Quidditch Cup in Bologna ) and even won the Italian championship in 2024 .

They hold regular training sessions (typically twice a week) and participate in LGBT-inclusive tennis tournaments in Italy (Milan, Rome) and Europe .
