About this event

An evening of protest poetry and song presented by the Live Poets Society of Baltimore, featuring local poets and musicians. The event, held in partnership with Writers for Democratic Action at Bird in Hand Coffee & Books, includes readings by poets Abdul Ali, Liz Hazen, Amy Bernstein, Virginia Crawford, Ailish Hopper, Kim Jensen, Sam Schmidt, Stewart Shaw, and Linda Rabben, accompanied by musician Drum Dr. Dot. The event is inspired by Charles Eliot Norton's anti-war speech 'True Patriotism' and aims to promote protest and social awareness through poetry and music.
