About this event
A new musical in development that tells the true story of Jill Morgenthaler, a Penn State freshman who joined the first ROTC class to include women in 1975. Created by Tony Award–winning playwright Joe DiPietro and composers Val Vigoda and Ryan O'Connell, the show explores Jill's journey through boot camp at Fort Bragg and her role as a pioneer for women in the military. Currently in its workshopping stage, the production offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process during a two-week laboratory at Baltimore Center Stage, featuring scenes, songs, and refinement in real time. The presentation is 90 minutes long, with no sets or costumes, showcasing top-tier talent and the evolution of a new musical.
