Atlanta has emerged as a major LGBTQ+ destination in the Southeast, with Midtown serving as the primary gay neighborhood. The city is home to a diverse queer community and hosts Atlanta Pride, one of the largest Pride celebrations in the region. Popular venues include Blake's on the Park, Heretic, and The Eagle. Atlanta's growing LGBTQ+ scene, combined with its role as a major business and cultural hub in the South, makes it an important center for queer life and activism in the region.

Pride Run ATL is a community event celebrating LGBTQIA+ pride, inclusivity, and support for HIV/AIDS awareness. The race promotes physical and mental well-being and raises funds for local HIV/AIDS services. The event features a 5K run, with registration opening on March 1st at 9:00 AM (EST). It is organized by Front Runners Atlanta, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ community.

Join Front Runners Atlanta for a special Get Outside & Run collaboration with REI! This event includes a 9 AM group run, a Race Gear: Function x Fashion Super Panel moderated by Tes Sobomehin Marshall, and catered food, conversation & exclusive REI coupon for attendees. Please note: The run will start and end at REI Perimeter, not John Howell Park. Taking MARTA is an option via the Red Line to Sandy Springs Station.
