About this event
Join us on June 17, 2026, at MODA in Atlanta for a day celebrating the women who shaped the city and preserving their stories. The event begins at 10:00 AM with a walking tour through Midtown, led by History Afoot Atlanta, exploring the neighborhood's history and the women behind it. In the afternoon, participants will engage in a hands-on design activity guided by Stef Alicia McCalmon, creating a personal artifact that captures a meaningful story. The day includes lunch, costs $300, and proceeds support summer scholarships for youth design camps. The event emphasizes slow, meaningful creation and storytelling, culminating in a keepsake that serves as an heirloom.
